The MiG-29 (NATO reporting name Fulcrum) is an advanced
multirole fighter aircraft. Service entry was in 1984 and the MiG-29
is considered roughly the equal of the US 'teen series fighters.
Highly maneuverable, with powerful, advanced radar and a new generation
of weapons the MiG-29 has been widely exported. The MiG-29 features
as standard an Infra Red Search & Track (IRST) sensor, which
allows passive engagement of targets. The MiG-29 has been produced
in multiple versions with improvements in radar, engines, avionics
and weapons.
